Towards a Vibrant Nepali Startup Ecosystem

The Incubator Academy JV is a joint program by Briddhi and KGS Inc. that supports Incubation Centers in Nepal to establish, evolve, and grow.

We are certain that Nepal is now entering a bold era of startups-led economy. We see this as a critical juncture where the ecosystem needs rapid nurturing so that startups are not only created but are nurtured for growth. The incubator academy seeks to enable this journey by curating a platform catering to develop ecosystem within Nepal that is:

1. Decentralized and accessible
2. Vibrant with deal flow
3. Rapidly growing
4. Sustainable
The global landscape for incubation centers is experiencing remarkable growth. According to a report by the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA), there are now over 7,000 business incubators and accelerators worldwide, a significant increase from 4,000 in 2017. This trend reflects a growing recognition of the value of incubation programs in fostering innovation and supporting startups across various industries.

The increasing number of incubators highlights the necessity to nurture the ecosystem. However, there remains a critical issue of unmet training needs in this context. Bridging this gap through targeted training programs will be essential to further develop decentralized, vibrant, and sustainable local startup ecosystems.
